 Ahh ,back to the main topic , Candied peel , the later half of 2009 ,saw me feasting on some fantastic candied peel from France, i still have some left .

Since i dont live in France , i thought ,i have to make this home , and found this recipe @ KAF , that makes things even easier.

Buttery makes u happy...buttery makes u gay....and buttery brightens ur day!

Specially at Christmas time , buttery makes me smile.
 
So here we have buttery melt in ur mouth sables  ie french shortbread , many ways ,jus for u and me at Christmas time.
Do i really have ur attention now:-)
And we have the cutest little tarts in Christmas shapes , filled with caramel and chocolate and cookies galore.

Laurie chose Sables @ Baking with Dorie  ,this month , perfecto i thought, and so in time!

And then something else happenned , i checked in Have the Cake , a group i joined a bit ago , and there is shortbread happening there too , and i so wanted to catch up , and here are these buttery Sables.

Well , they add on to 2 of my baking groups , they are so good at Christmas time , with all these cookie cutters , and if that aint enough they are French and buttery.....

 And oh so soft and melty {melt in ur mouth}
They bake beautiful ,are tender and fill ur home with the frangrance of buttery goodness u will love.

They are good rite outa the oven {careful:hot}, and when cooled.

I was more than excited the Speculoos made it to the december poll , coz i wanted to bake them for the holidays and i was sure going to bake them for hols.
And head on to FFwD to check all the goodies this week , if u already arent with FFwd, nows the time to join in.....

 I loved reading all about these well spiced Speculoos here ,Catalina sure has a wondeful write up about their story and history and i so wish i had baked these on 5th too!

Santa, im so late ,but will u please take my cookies too , or even better , have them along with me , will have some more for u along the way too:-)

These amazing buttery ,well spiced cookie originated somewhere in Belgium , and love that Dorie suggests all the spices , i added even more.
+cinnamon always rocks ...

VERY VANILLA ONE BOWL{v} BUTTER CAKE @ DONNA HAY

 It already feels like Christmas and its Christmas Time again , in the kitchens and homes of Bright Morning Star , so u'll see a lotta reds , whites and greens here , sprinkled with hearts and Santas ....
And love.....

 Ofcourse Snowman will be there too.

Christmas times are also times of bakes and cakes and hot chocolate and Marshmallows...

And i want to begin with a very quick and simple Vanilla butter cake , yeah with lods of vanilla everywhere, coz all good things begin with butter.

And to make things even better , i came up with this really wonderful salted butter glaze with a caramel or two , which is poured over the warm cakes and it soaks in for a beautiful flavor and delicious crust .
