A CUTE COOKIE INSIDE A CUT'R COOKIE @ SECRET RECIPE CLUB

Yeah , this is the very same recipe that's backed the world over and has been baked in and out since 1856 , the Toll house CCC recipe.

This cookie that has little children want to drink milk or hot chocolate or what have u....
And the cookie that makes us say
"" chocolate ,chocolate , chocolate , oh how i love thee in a cookie....""

But with a little difference , these cookies are stuffed with some other cookies and chocolate too.

Having read reviews and raves and loves and different combis of this recipe , it's the secret  recipe club and Foodies@work that finally got me down to baking this very best CCC for the very first time.

The SRC was started and is organized by Amanda  and every member is assigned a blog to discover ,  explore cook/bake and enjoy.
Secret Recipe ClubNow we all would realize the fun and fiesta in this and i wouldnt need to get into the details , instead if u arent already a member , hop by and sign in and sooonn.

Foodies @ work is a blog by 2 foodies from 2 different cities but with one big appetite.
The reviews are fresh and very interesting , if i have to travel to Boston , NYC or beyond , this is one blog i would want to read about some more.

Melissa or Miss Yunks, & Angela or A.Tooch  are the wonderful writers of this blog and asa i was assingned the blog i was loast in a world of deliciousness galore in different cities and hot spot i would have loved to be at with them.

Not to forget the fantastic recipes and though i did bookmark a few more , this one was one cookie i couldn afford to give a miss.

And their fav recipe is the Nestle Toll house recipe , so it was only fair i bake this with that one.

ANd this one has got lods and lods of Vanilla in there ,( dats how u'll see all those pretty black dots all overthe cookie)  and an overload of different kinda chocolate chips with a few caramelly butterscotch chips thrown in for good flavour too.

And its the crispy crunchy kind , with lots of butter in there....

And see all those toppings galore , they make it even more fun to dunk a cookie in milk.

And bdw , one cookie amounts to 2 , and if u talk about the stuffing in there , then there are 3 in there.....

See the Oreo stuffing peeping thru,dont ask me how though.

And some of the cookies which are stuffed inside the CCC have a bit of chocolate inside , yummy melty milk chocolate ...

Looking for the rite scoop.

Now that i begun with stuffed , i can think of loads of various options to go stuffed and try a couple of my fave cookie'S  too ...
Cookies for stuffing.

Double stuffed cookies.

3 day old refrigerated dough and topping.
 On d way to the pre heated oven.

Though i followed the recipe for a crispier cookie , they were still chewy around the middle , so i actually baked them twice over.

 RECIPE for a CUTE COOKIE INSIDE A CUTER COOKIE
a crispy and crunchy CC cookie.
recipe and idea from here , here and tips from here

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4th cup (2 1/2 sticks) salted  butter, softened
  • 1 1/4 cup vanilla  sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large vanilla beans , seeds only
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3.5 cups mixed chocolate chips + butter scotch chips
  • mini chocolate chips to sprinkle around( optional)

TIps

~~~Love using salted butter , the flavour is fantastic and plus heightens the chocolaty goodness around.
~~~Baking at a lower temp for a longer time gives me crunchier cookies which i love.
~~~Vanilla always makes a great addition to chocolate and a cookie , and here adding 2 whole beans + vanilla sugar makes things fragrantly better.
~~~instead of the cup o nuts i upped the chocolate chips from 2 cups to 3.5 cups which was a great mix of Hersheys milk chocolate chips , Hersheys mini kisses , Nestle Butterscotch chips and Valhorna Milk chocolate mini discs & sprinkle atop with semi sweet Callebaut mini chips.

~~~to make ur cookie chewy or fluffy hop here
~~~since the cookies were spreading like crazy i refrigerated the second batch and when they were a little baked brought them in with a mini spreader , worked.
Next time i will stick to the same recipe but decrease the butter and increase the flour a bit.

~~~pretty additions atop make them cute and i love cute , well u can do whatever rocks ur boat , so cool.
Directions
  COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in all the chocolate .
Refrigerate for upto 3 days or u can bake them right away and if yes , u should have had u oven pre heated to 375 C by now.
Using a cookie scoop or tbh , wrap 2 scooped cookie around an oreo/ Vanilla magic / chocolate biscuit wafers or whatever u want , roll & press  around and place o the sheet.
Sprinkle (optional) with some mini semi sweet chips or smartie's or m& m's too for some colourful contrasts here.
BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
Drizzle with some semi sweet chocolate melted with butter /oil + vanilla atop if u want 'em a little fancier and sprinkles if u want 'em cuter.
* May be stored in refrigerator for up to 1 week or in freezer for up to 8 weeks.
PS- Foodies at work , if i hadnt messed up a bit with my Picasa , u would have seen the Yummy Potatoes too.
Didnt use the chicken soup can but instead some home made thick soup and yet it was good and instead of sour cream our good 'ol lite cream.
Ur rite , im so glad u got into the details coz these are absolutely yummy.
