I know World peace cookies are like famous by now , and u must be like , hey these dont look like World peace cookies at all....well i subbed the coco powder for flour coz though i loveeee chocolate , I dont like Chocolate cookies but love cookies with chocolate in them , u get what i mean ...and these are soo good!
Made 2 World peace tart cookies , which are sooo good!
Filled with Caramel and topped with a nutella topping...
And three types , the original roll and cut ones, press into the cookie tins ones and 2 heart tartlets filled caramel and topped with a Nutella frosting!
Rebecca chose this wonderful winner and this one was one thats been on my mind for awhile , thannxx a ton Rebecca.
""these cookies are related to the sablĂ© — a buttery shortbread, with a slightly sandy texture. The difference is that they are packed with chocolate. The recipe comes via Dorie Greenspan from renowned pastry chef, Pierre HermĂ©, who can do no wrong. He uses fleur de sel, which "surprises, delights and makes the chocolate flavors in the cookies seem preternaturally profound." ''''

I love that these are related to the Sable , they arent as sandy , but jus as buttery and more so , chocolaty and sooo good on their own or with some vanilla coffee.
Nutella and Valentines go wonderfully well tooo....Oh though it still feels like Christmas , loveee is sooo in the air *365.
Nutella is so in 24/7, 365 days , always a hit , and yeah it makes our taste buds go round...+with some Caramel ...wowowweeee...
All good things begin with butter and here with soft Salted butter....
and creamed till smooth and nice...
Adding the sugars...
And salt , yeah salt , this is organic Himalayan sea salt , so good with little dots of pink all over...
1/4 tsp of salt makes these cookies stand apart and brings out the best in them...and instead of 1 tsp Vanilla i added 2 :-)
Beat well till creamy...
Subbed the coco powder for flour , here with the baking soda....
First fold it into the beaten butter with a spatula ,and then with the hand mixer , this is to save a white floury mess around...and come together pretty well too.
2 kinds of Milk choco chips , yeah those are Valrhona...love their shaped smoothness...
Yeah , those lovely chips have to be folded into the dough , i added a wee little more , incase i popped in one...
The hands are the best to bring it together , after u fold them in with a Spatula..
And then with ur hands bring it all together into one nice dough , but dont work it too muc , the less the better.
Pat one part to flatten...and cling wrap well..
And one part into a roll , and cling wrap , wrapped in a cut in the middle ,kitchen paper empty roll..
After 24 hours of refrigeration...
All sliced and ready to bake...
Pretty Valrhona milk chocolate chip peeping....
And Pressed in dough into heart cookie trays.
And the tarts too getting ready to bake....
So wonderful and good...
The World Peace COokie Put together

Add around 5tbh -7tbh Nutella and stir , the frosting will get a bit dull now , dont worry , stir well and then add another 1/2 tbh butter , till alls all smooth and glossy.

Mia's notes~~~Used salted butter instead of unsalted and it worked wonderfully.
~~~Subbed the 1/3 cup coco powder with Ap flour
~~~used a mix of Ghirardelli choco chips and Valrhona milk choco , a total of 5.4 ounces.
~~~didn chop any chocolate , coz it gets kinda chopped when u slice them.
~~~the texture of the World peace cookie tarts was on the softer side ,coz i had a thick layer , for a crisper layer , use less dough.
~~~the press in cookie hearts , were a wee bit less sandy than the sliced ones , but none were as sandy as the sables .
~~~Loved leaving the dough without the choco powder , the chocolate shines thru and the saltiness delites.
~~~these come together really fast and are fantastic
